I don't know if this is true or not, but he got the idea for the Moonwalk from the French mime Marcel Marceau. Saw it on YouTube, so it MUST BE TRUE! :)

This is not even true. He got the moonwalk from children. He got the idea and just perfected it. This is just bullshit that someone made up.

The moonwalk had been a standard move in breakdancing (more specifically electric boogie) years before Michael did it on tv. What's next, Madonna is going to get credit for creating vogueing or Eminem is going to get credit for creating rapping?
