Yeah, and Neanderthals invented vector calculus! Apparently it helped them calculate the most efficient angle to throw a spear at a Tyrannosaurus rex. Once they invented machine guns, however, they didn't need calculus anymore and it fell by the wayside until it was reinvented many years later by Mary Queen of Scots. Incidentally, it was the Neanderthals' use of automatic weapons that lead directly to the extinction of the dinosaurs!
