The pope's official barber, who cuts only the pope's hair, earns an annual salary equivalent to $250,000 (US).

Seems rather excessive to me, but then again, possibly a portion of the income is derived from selling souvenir Pope hair clippings.

I find it rather interesting that the maintainers of this site know this much about the personal habits of the pope, yet are woefully unable to distinguish between the arms of the pope, and the arms of the Holy See. Quite a difference.

While $250,00 is still excessive, it should be noted (based on your own mentioned referance) that the "baber" is more like the Pope's personal assistant and does much more than simply cutting the Pope's hair.

Yea, but he was sworn to eat the hair for fear the pope's genes would end up in the hands of the gammalons.

i don't think it's fair. his ass-wiper only gets $145,000(US)per year and is always on call.

Some people don't get 16 000 per year and work almost 16-18 hours per day. Commercial airline pilots work this (they don't get time for proper sleep), yet they earn approximately 16 times less when working so much than the barber. It is intolerable injustice.
