Martin Luther King Jr. lip-synched most of his famous "I Have a Dream" speech.

Even if this were true (it isn't) he would still have MUCH more credibility than this website. In fact, you'd have to multiply this website's credibility by twelve and then square it to have as much credibility as you'd find in Dr. King's left earlobe.

I believe it was Carl Sagan who said, "extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence". The trouble with your site is, you provide very little evidence (if any) to back up your claims.
I'm just waiting for the "ducks' quacks do not echo" fallacy to show up.

This is stupid. This whole website is stupid. This is like David Letterman's "Fun Facts" but without the fun.

You're like teenage girls; you try to put others down to distract yourself from what's wrong with you, which would be your website.

Wrong.... Fact is he had a prepared speech but only used the first few lines before straying into something off the cuff. Many parts of it he had used in other speeches but the arrangement was unique.
I thought the site was fun but this is just made up garbage.

Wow! If so many people don't like this website, why are you reading it? I'm sure its not the author's intent to upset anyone, but just to give us a bit of fun with some daily facts.
Must be challenging to find new things for every day.

I thought it was funny I laughed

Chris, you're missing the point. They don't "find" new stuff. They make it up. MOST of the stuff on this site is completely made up. Whether or not they mean to harm anybody is beside the point. If everybody who visited this site could see that it was full of baloney, then it wouldn't be a problem. If everybody read the modest disclaimer that's hid behind a tiny link at the bottom of the page, there wouldn't be an issue. But people don't do that. They think this stuff must be true because it sounds too interesting not to be. Factropolis is contributing to the dumbing-down of humanity, and heaven knows we don't need that. I can't speak for anybody else, but that's why I occasionally check in to see what nonsense Factropolis is peddling this week. Sorry if it bothers you.

So, if this website is so horrible and spouts nothing but lies, are so many people still reading it...and spending their own time to type comments?
By Anonymous, at October 18, 2009 8:26 AM
If your claims are to have any credibility you need to post some kind of source backing them up.
This is nonsense.
