The face of Uncle Sam, the fictional personification of the United States, was modeled after a door-to-door salesman from Canada.

Where are you getting these facts?! The link you provide under this one directly contradicts your "fact". No references are given, and many seem highly dubious. Why would you waste your time publishing ridiculous pseudo-facts without bothering to make sure they're not complete bs? Not that it matters much, but this has to be the worst example of a fact list I've ever come across.
The inspiration for the Uncle Sam poster was actually a similar poster of Lord Kitchener.
Do you have someone sitting in a dark room somewhere just making them up? Are you accepting anonymous contributions and immediately publishing them because they sound neat? The only thing that would make these "facts" fun, is if even a minority of them were at all true. Pure garbage, this.

The model in the picture is actually the poster artist himself.
